Ranunculus

ranunculusranunculus Ranunculus is a pretty, cheerful winter flower popular in weddings. Many layers of petals create a ruffled flower. The centre of the flower can sometimes be a bright green fluffy texture, giving the name "teddy bear" ranunculus. Their name comes from the Latin for "little frog" and they are originally from the Middle East. A buttercup is also a kind of ranunculus; but although the romantic children's story vision is of fields full of cows munching away on buttercups, they are actually very poisonous to livestock.
