The unpretty.

Folding clothes

Just checking in to let you know that I have nothing pretty to show you. No hanging garlands of winter flowers, no artfully arranged bottles with poppy stems arching to the sun, no bouquets of randomly gathered wildflowers. Of course I have the world's cutest baby girl*, but this is not a baby blog.

What I do have is neatly folded washing, cubes and cubes of frozen puréed fruit and veggies, a pile of books** with great intentions to read them, and dreams of going back to the flower market. Also, open suitcases on the floor with various articles of summer clothing strewn around - we are going overseas for three weeks for baby A to meet the Mexican rellies.

I did have a gorgeous bunch of red and white striped anemones, as you may have seen on instagram. However, they are now dead. So for the moment, the unpretty reigns in our house.

* This opinion may be slightly biased. **The Luminaries by Eleanor Catton, The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt, and The Woman In White by Wilkie Collins.
